I am currently a PhD candidate at Saint Louis University where he is completing a joint doctoral degree in Bioethics and English. My work spans bioethics, rhetoric of health and technology, the ethical implications of emerging technologies, and the medical humanities and has appeared in leading interdisciplinary journals including Bioethics, BMJ Medical Humanities, Pediatrics, and Disability Studies Quarterly.
I also works as a Research Assistant at the Bioethics Research Center at Washington University School of Medicine where I contribute to two major empirical research projects, 1.) a Greenwall Foundation-funded policy project examining the prescription of psychotropic medications to foster youth and 2.) an NIH-funded study examining religious frameworks surrounding prenatal genetic testing (PGT) and mRNA vaccines.
I am currently developing two core projects, a discourse analysis examining the impact of ambient AI listening technology on patient-practitioner communication and a book project analyzing the development and deployment of the “frontier metaphor” in American medicine.
